Today we didn’t have to wake up to early, since we were supposed to meet the teacher’s for breakfast today in a resturant at 09:00 am. They asked us if we liked it here in Turkey and if we are going to miss them? We of course said yes and said to them that we were quiet happy to have met them and hope to see them again some day. We arrived home spend some time with the family and left. We were all quiet sad to say farewell but promised to keep in touch.

We drove to the bus station to take the bus to Istanbul, from their we took the metro train to the airport and waited for our flight. Once on boart we left for Germany. We were happy to return home after some time with new experiences and knowledge.

We woke up early today to leave for Edirne. Bariş thought that resting at home would be a waste, so be took us to Edirne. Alpçan couldn’t make it so only Ertugrul went along from them. The drive took 2:30 hour’s.

Once their we met Bariş’s aunt, who invited us for breakfast at her home. She was very happy to have met us, and asked the usuall question’s.

After that we went to a museum nearby and looked at antique artifacts. From their we went to the biggest Mosque im Turkey Selime camii.  It was magnificent, the old architectire was from the old Ottoman empire and truly marvelous. We went inside and were in awe the whole time. It was truly beautiful we also went to 2 other Mosque’s who were also very beatiful.

Then we went to a bazaar and looked around. We then went to grab a quick bite at a resturant. We ordered the special meşhure edirne tava çiģeri, it was meat from the cow fried. We didn’t want to know because the meat was from somewhere inside the cow and we might not have eaten it.

Then we did some carraige riding, and were embaressed since everyone was staring at us. After that we looked some further around and left for the bus stop.

Once home we told the family of what we encounterd today and called it quits for today.

Heute früh haben wir gefrühstückt und haben uns auf dem Weg zur Arbeit gemacht.

Dort haben wir unsere Arbeitsklamotten angezogen und sind zu unseren Arbeitsplatz gegangen. Heute haben wir den Leuten ein bisschen über die Schulter geguckt. Zu erst sagen wir wie sie in der Werkstatt einen gewöhnlichen Motor reperiert haben, dessen Propeller kaputt war. Dann nach der Mittagspause, haben wir gesehen wie eine neue Maschine installiert wurde, bzw. dessen Arme die alles automatisch machen.

Das wars auch schon, da viele Heute nicht da waren, war der Arbeitstag auch ein bisschen ruhiger als sonst.

Nachdem wir uns umgezogen haben, haben wir noch die Arbeitskleidung zu dem Mann gebracht, der uns die gegeben hat. Dann haben wir uns nich einmal kurz von jedem verabschiedet, und sind wieder nach Hause.

Später sind wir noch alle ein bisschen raus um ein paar kleine Souveniers für unsere Familien zu kaufen, da wir schon sehr bald wieder abreisen.

Jetzt verbringen wir noch etwas Zeit zu Hause mit der Gastfamilie, und morgen ist ein neuer Tag.

I think that the firm’s here in Turkey are a lot more relaxe

d and easy going compared to Germany. In Germany a certain level of expertise is required, where as in Turkey they take the trainee’s along from whatever level thei are at. The trainee’s can take freqent breaks, short once not long and drink çai or anyone, where as in Germany you have fixed time for everything and can’t take breaks when ever you want since you might disturb others. There is still a lot of manuell work in Turkey compared to Germany, other than that I thinke their isn’t that much difference.

 That’s just my opinion from the observations I made.

Today we woke up early like always, but for the last time in Turkey. We got ourself’s breakfast from a bakery and left with the shuttle service.

When we arrived in E.G.O we singed in and changed clothes for the last time. We then went to our stations and greeted everyone. Today was a quiet day since only maintainence was done. We watched how things were checked and repaired if they have too. We didn’t get much since everyone was very busy and didn’t have time to explain.  They installed a new machine at the automaton area. After that we went for lunch and came back observing. After that the day was over, we returned the clothes and left with the shuttle for home, maybe later we will go somewhere (Bariş, Alpçan, Ertugrul, and I).

Heute nach dem aufwachen, sind wir wie üblich raus zum Bus und haben unser Frühstück unterwegs geholt.

Der Tag heute war deswegen so besonders, weil wir ab heute in einem Betrieb nebenan waren, die aber trotzdem beide zu E.G.O. gehören. Doch HiLight stellt hingegen, die Dinger her die jede einzelne Kochplatte erhitzen, und das in 2 verschiedenen Größen.

Zu erst geht das Alluminium in eine Maschine, wo es in eine Form gebracht wird, die in etwa stachelig ist. Danach wir es in je 50 cm immer abgeschnitten. Jetzt geht es durch zwei Zahnräder die das Alluminium zigzack förmig macht. Somit ist das Allmuminium erst mal fertig.

Jetzt geht es weiter mit der Produktion der Platten. Es gibt dafür eine Schablone, wo die das Alluminium dann per Hand selbst reintun. Dann wird die Schablone weitergegeben. Die haben fertige Gehäuse sag ich mal wo alles reinkommt, außenrum Alluminium und innen ein Vetonfarbiger Guss, woraus der ist konnte der mir leider selbst nicht sagen, aber das es selbst hergestellt ist von denen. Jetzt wird das Alluminium von der Schablone aus in das Gehäuse gedrückt, so dass es da dran hängen bleibt. Danach wir das bis 280 Grad einmal kurz erhitzt und getestet. Dann kommt ein außenring und ein innenring dran, die die zwei Platten von einander trennen, z.B. für große Töpfe wir die komplette Platte erhitz und für kleine Töpfe nur die mittlere kleine. Danach kommt ein Termometer rein, der wird bis 288 Grad eingestellt, das macht hede Firma anders, diese stellt die Termometer auf 288, so das es nicht bis über 288 Grad erhitzt werden kann.

Nach der Mittagspause habe ich von den Termometern die einstellungs Schraube immer ein bisschen reingedreht, da die Maschine die das einstellt immer lange für jede einzelne braucht. Das ist aber nicht immer so, nur diese Termometer, deren Schrauben sind dieses mal viel weiter draußen als sonst, die die immer bekommen haben.

Nach ner Weile als ich diese Arbeit gemacht habe, hatten wir dann Feierabend.

Nach dem umziehen sind wir zum Bus und sind alle nach Hause gefahren.

Der heutige Tag hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht in HiLight, und ich bin gespannt was wir morgen so machen.

Today I woke up early too, we had breakfast to go and a long drive. After signing in by E.G.O we changed clothes and met up.

Today is a special day, we started at the highlight factory. Its a factory owned by E.G.O and is neatby. They make electrical appliances too, but more modern. Unlike the other company Rhk,  highlight is more modern with its appliances such as electrical plates, smart home etc.

We saw how electrical plates were made from thick aluminium nickel stripes.

They are send to a machine, where they are pounded 400 times in a minute, they look like a bycicle chain afterwards. They are then measured per meter and send out for further processing. Then the now rigged chain is put into shape by hand. Then the electric plate is send to a different machine where they are tested and then veldet 950 V.The electrical plate is then send to get rings (depending on the type of plate level’s) for protection and a thermostate. The thermostate is there to measure the temperatur and raise the resistivity of the plate inner plate 23 V, outer plate or larger plate with a lot more volts. Then everything is checked again to see if it works. If everything is okay its send for the manuell check, and is then shiped off. Other things are stored by serial numbers, and placed in compartments.

We all were divided, and sent to different areas. I was with an automaton technician until lunch, and was sent somewhere else after lunch. I just looked around with the technician, to see if some automaton need maintainence.

After lunch I was in the manuell working room. There was a person who could speak German, he was from Austria. He talked to me about Deutschland and how I think of Turkey. He then assigned me to a working place so I can do something to pass time. I was supposed to fill a pipe with something like a thick needle, and continiue doing so till 15:30 pm, I was able to finish 6 boxes in that time.  After I was done we had 15:15 pm and I was allowed to go earlier. I went to the others and we changed clothes and got ready to leave.

When we arrived home Barisch and I were somehow exhausted but satiesfied with ourself’s. We actually learned a lot today and hope to learn a lot more tommorrow.

Heute haben wir wieder, wie immer früh das Haus verlassen und sind auf dem Weg zur Arbeit. Unser Frühstück haben wir unterwegs geholt, und sind in den Bus eingestiegen.

Als wir ankamen, haben wir uns erst mal mit den Karten die wir bekommen haben identifiziert. Danach haben wir uns umgezogen und sind zu unserem Arbeitsplatz gegangen.

Zu erst gab es keine Arbeit, deswegen sind wir ein bisschen rumgegangen und haben den Arbeitern zugeguckt.

Später bekamen wir alle eine Arbeit, und zwar ganze Lampengehäuse ab und neue wieder dran zu machen.

Dnach hatten wir Mittagspause. Nach dem Essen spielten wir draußen noch ne halbe Stunde Fußball, da das Wetter gut war und die Sonne schien.

Nach dem Fußball zeigte uns ein Mitarbeiter, ne Schraube oder so ähnliches, die merkt wenn man Mit ihr etwas berührt, ob sich darin Metall vefindet oder nicht. Davon gibt’s verschiedene Schrauben, mit verschiedenen Größen die je nach dem immer näher oder weiter weg vom Kontakt sein können, um dass Material zu spüren.

Danach haben wir noch Tische mit grüner Farbe gestrichen und hatten frei.

Später sind wir noch raus gegangen und hatten Spaß.

I started the day early in the morning today too. We had breakfast to go and waited for the shuttle. After loging into work, we changed to our working clothes.

Today we looked the people at maintainence over the shoulder. We saw how they used machines to make bold nuts, and clean mechanical parts. There is this machine which drills holes in aluminium nut forms, it doesn’t take long maybe a few seconds to make one. The cleaning is done by the trainees. We then  went to change some light bulbs and went to lunch afterwards.

After lunch we went to play soccer today. Long story short we lost since the guys weren’t any good.

When we returned we were thaught something new by the foreman. He thaught us about make sensor and inductive sensor. The make sensor is to detect the non metal component in products where as the inductive is used to check the metal. The inductive sensor is only able to measure from 4 mm and the make sensor only 2 mm. He was very busy but he took the time to show and explain to us what those devices are.

Afterwards we helped the trainees paint some objects, then it was time to call it a day again.

We went straight home from the service station in Tekirdag for some rest.

Heute wachten wir wieder sehr früh auf, und frühstückten auf dem Weg.

Als wir ankamen in der Firma, haben wir uns mit unseren Karten, die wir übrigens gestern bekommen haben indentifiziert.

Heute waren wir mit einem Arbeiter ein bisschen unterwegs, der uns als erstes das CPU (central processing unit) gezeigt hat was zu der Abteilung von HiLight gehört. Über HiLight wissen wir noch nicht viel, wir werden unsere Zeit noch in dieser Abteilung verbringen.

Danach sind wir kaputte Geräte reperieren gegangen. Dabei haben wir aber nur zugesehen. Wo wir selbst Hand anlegen durften waren, kaputte Lampen gegen neue einzutauschen. Diese Arbeit haben wir dann eine halbe Stunde gemacht. Nach dem wir fertig waren, hatten wir auch schon Feierabend und haben uns ungezogen und sind wieder nach Tekirdağ mit dem Bus.

Als wir in Tekirdağ ankamen, waren wir noch mal bei dem Einkaufszentrum namens Tekira. Dort haben wir zu viert ein bisschen Zeit verheudet. Danach ist jeder nach Hause gegangen, ich mit Alpcan und Naveed mit Baris.

Zu Hause haben wir dann ein bisschen ausgeruht, und sind zu Alpcans Fußball Training gegangen. Nach seinem Fußball Ttainig sind wir wieder nach Hause.

Der Tag heute war wieder einmal sehr interessant und ich freu mich schon wieder auf die nächste Schicht.

Heute sind wir schon sehr früh aufgestanden, da der Weg zur Firma sehr lang ist, und uns ein Service Bus abholen kam. Schnell zogen wir uns um und machten uns auf den Weg zum Bus. Auf dem Weg haben wir uns noch unser Frühstück gekauft, weil wir nicht die Zeit hatten zu Hause zu essen, da wir nicht genau wussten wann wir aufstehen sollten. Nach ein paar Minuten kam auch schon der Bus, wir stiegen ein und fuhren knappe 50 Minuten bis zur Firma.

Nach dem wir dort angekommen waren, haben wir auf einen Mitarbeiter gewartet, der uns die Arbeitskleidung gab. Danach sind wir hoch in einem ganz normalen Zimmer gegangen, wo uns der Mitarbeiter  die Firma ein bisschen vorgestellt hat, damit wir einen ersten Eindruck davon haben. Mit PowerPoint hat er uns alles schon erklärt, so dass wir alle wichtigen Fakten mitbekommen konnten, wie z.B. dass sie jährlich bis 526 Mio. Umsatz machen.

Nach dem schon viel Zeit vergangen war, wurden wir zu unserem Arbeitsplatz geschickt. Da haben wir ein paar sehr nette Mitarbeiter kennengelernt. Mit denen wir dann auch direkt zur Mittagspause gegangen sind, da es schon Zeit war.

In dieser Abteilung stellen sie Spulen, für Kühlschränke, Hertplatten etc. her, die z.B. dafür dienen, dass die Hertplatte sich erhitzt.

Danach hatten wir ne Rundführung mit einem Mitarbeiter, der uns alles ganz ausführlich erklären konnte. Zu erst wir ein Loch in eine Metallstange, die je nach dem für was es eingesetzt wird eine andere Größe hat, es gibt sie in 1,5 7,5 und 10m. Danach wird Magnesium Oxid stark erhitzt uns reingegossen, dass ist dafür damit es z.B. bei der Hertplatte schneller erhitzen kann. Danach wird es noch geformt und die Teile sind fertig.

Zu guter Letzt haben wir draußen noch die Flaggen gewechselt, da diese schon sehr schmutzig waren, das waren eine türkische, eine deutsche und drei von E.G.O.

Danach haben wir den ersten Arbeitstag gemeistert. Die Zeit in der Firma vergingt sehr schnell, deswegen weil es uns sehr viel Spaß macht und nicht nur Naveed und mir so dern auch den beiden Türken.

Danach sind wir wieder mit dem Bus nach Tekirdağ, und wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Arbeitstag.

Today we started the day early like usuall and had breakfast to go.

We recieved entrance cards yesterday for identification from the company. We changed into the working cloths provided by the company. Afterwards we went to the maintainence room and greeted everyone, once the instructor came we left for work.

He showed is around some more in the factory, as well as the CPU (central processing unit) of the highlite factory. The highlite factory is part of E.G.O but is seperated from the factory we are currently in, and one of the 2 kinds in the world. We will get to see the highlite factory later this week.

After the tour we followed the foreman of maintainence around the factory and were onwatchers while some machine’s were checked. We didn’t knew why the machine’s were checked, since they seemed to be running fine yesterday but were later at some point explained by the section chief Mujahid that at least once a year all automaton’s are under maintainence for safety reasons.

Afterwards we had lunch in the cafeteria, which by the way is only permitted when the card is run through a machine which the identifes one. Sometime later we went to the break room to play table tennis, needless to say Ertugul and I were terrible and lost most ouf the matches, since we always hit the ball as hard as possible (just for fun) and they seemed to cost us points. Afterward we changed some  light bulbs and the day was over.

We drove back to Tekirdag and went to the mall tekira. We looked around and went to Mcdonalds for lunch. Then we returned home and are resting.
