Day 2 of Turkey

Today started like yesterday peaceful and early but a lot colder than yesterday too, I started to talk to my foster brother Barisch a lot more, or at least tried too. Barisch and his familie sees to it that I feel as comfortable as possible which I do.

In todays classes we actually took part in the lesson, or as much as possible due to the language barrier. The difference in languages makes it a lot more difficult to get a grasp of what is happening even if you already worked on a similar topic. The subject was electronics and the primary thematic was ohms law and its calculations methods in different circuits.

The Qustions weren’t too difficult to do, the key to solve these type of Qustions is to do them repeatedly. It was an interesting lecture with a different atmosphere than the one I am used too.

Afterwards classes we went to some museums. We enjoyed the trip learning about the history of the poet Kermal and his journey, and story writter Rocezi Musefi and many others.

Then we went to the mall again to pass some time and went home.

It was a fun and eventfull day to the end.

Day 1 in Turkey

I started the day by waking up at 07:00 am and getting ready to go to the technical college.  After hearing about our schedule yesterday I was excited to begin with it. We made a 0:30 min trip to the school from the place im staying at.

The transportaton system here is a bit chaotic compared the Gerrman system. You have to know your way around tekirdag or have someone who does to move about , or you will be lost.

The technical school I visit is called Tekirdag technical school. Its an old school which is training students since 1996 in many different areas. And today we started with a grand tour of the school, and its very many departments.

This technical school has many different areas of experties such as mechanical, electrical, IT etc. Students of different classes have different tasks such as 10 grade studen are gradually  introduced to their respective fields, where as 11 graders have more knowledge and experience than the lattet one, the 12 graders or graduating classes are capable of solving a certain level of problem only lacking proper real world experience.

The electric technical lessons are different in Turkey than Germany. In Germany you have to have a certain type of aptitude to be in the electronical field, where as in turkey you are eased into it by easy tasks, so a certain type of mentallity is built up over time. This is just my first impression as in how things are right now, and they will gradually change with more acquired information.

After classes we went to the tekirdag shopping mall and looked around. After an quick rest and change of clothes at home we went to lunch with the teacher’s and foster brothers. We had a hard but fun time.
