Our last days in Arnhem have been truly amazing. The combination of turning 18 and being here was truly something else. Almost undescribale how many things happened on my birthday. The Dutch employees sang a Dutch birthday song for me and B&B owner played a song on his guitar for me.
We also took a day trip to the beautiful city of Nijmegen. We ate a nice pre-birthday dinner there. From Arnhem the train is only 15 minutes away. With a bike around an hour. We even went inside the Hema in Nijmegen. We then came back home at night to watch the big football match with Ajax Amsterdam.
On my birthday many people said „fijne verjaardag“ to me in work. Customers and employees. That means happy birthday. It was truly something special to turn 18 on such an occasion.
It was really sad to leave Arnhem and go back to regular German life. The 2 weeks were truly life changing for me and Kassim, and we never forget the nice time we had. Our employees even gave me and Kassim presents at the end of the work experience. I wish and hope to have another nice experience like this.
Ein Gedanke zu „Last day in Arnhem“
Hello Nelson,
This sounds like you had a perfect birthday! That’s so kind of the Durch to treat you like a special person which, obviously, you are.
From your reports one can tell that you really made the most out of it. That‘s exactly how it should be. You can be very proud of yourself using this opportunity to make an internship abroad which turned out to be a wonderful experience. Thumbs up!!!
Now enjoy your Easter holiday break. Don‘t stop telling people what a great experience you have had! Maybe they can have such an experience themselves. 😉
Wish you all the best,
Roberto Galletto
